World War II Ship Murder Mystery Party Live Role Playing Team Building
Death Sails on the Oceania
Players:  25-50 Era:   World War II
Gender:  M&F Crime:   Murder, Theft, Espionage
It is 1943 and these are dark times in most parts of the world. Ship cruises are at an all-time high – if you happen to “cruise” on a troop ship or military ship of any kind. Submarines, airplanes, and mines have made any other kind of "cruise" very dangerous. The Oceania is a fast, sleek passenger liner registered in Canada. Because of her speed, this ship will not travel in a convoy but will sail directly from Nova Scotia to Portsmouth, England. It is carrying $40 million in gold bars to aid in the war effort, secret messages and plans. It also carries a new set of equipment (Mark 1) designed to pinpoint enemy submarines both above and below the surface of the sea. If a ship can use this equipment to evade U-Boats, the tide of the war could quickly change. Gold, espionage, and patriotism may be motives for mayhem. Whatever the reason, with this much gold on board you can be sure that danger and death stalk this ship.   Bonuses:

Gender:  All Female Crime:   Theft

Fall is a glorious time of year. School is back in session, friendships are being renewed, and new friends being made. There is also the Fairfield County Fair during the last full week of September. The Shampoo High School provides many volunteers to help where ever the Fair Committee needs them. This year, the school has been asked to provide people to take tickets at the gate. Entrance charges are $10.00 per person and the Committee expects 20,000 – 30,000 people to attend -- so there is lots of money involved! This year the receipts may be even higher, because as one of the featured events, the State has agreed to have the Greased Pig Catching Championship at the Fair. There are 75 contestants who are here for the three foot trophy and $1,000.00 first place cash prize. On Thursday, the gate receipts seem to be a little low. Friday was only slightly better, and the Lions Club Marching Lawn Mower team had performed! Something is terribly wrong!! The County Marshal has been asked to look the apparent theft of Fair money. However, because the reputation of Shampoo High is at stake, as students of the school, you decide you need to move faster than the Marshal’s snail’s pace. This accusation and crime reflects on the whole school and there are those who say you are smarter than the Marshal.

The Fox Colonial Murder Mystery Game
The Fox
Players:  10 or 11-30 Era:   Colonial America
Gender:  M&F Crime:   Spy, Espionage, Intrigue
Colonial troops are deserting faster than they can be recruited. Supplies are harder to get as the British always seem to seize or requisition all the stockpiles before the Colonists. The farmers now want gold or silver, not paper money. Many people are leaning toward suing for peace and taking their punishment. The year is 1780 in the English Colonies of America. The Colonies have declared for independence and are involved in a revolution against England. The Colonists have had some minor wins, some disastrous losses, and lots of discouragement. A new flag will only motivate the army so far! Headquarters suspects that there is a spy (known as The Fox), passing secrets to the British Forces. General Washington suspects everyone. He is worried The Fox may even be one of his staff. His Chief of Staff, Colonel Hathaway, has called for a meeting at an inn in Fairfax. Virginia. He doesn't want to meet around his other Headquarters personnel where he suspects there may be a leak of information. With luck we should be able to uncover the spy tonight, and after a fair trial The Fox will be hung in the morning. Don't make plans for tomorrow afternoon!   Bonuses:

American West Murder Mystery Game
The Silver Slipper
Players:  10 or 11-20 Era:   1880s American West
Gender:  M&F Crime:   Theft, Murder
NOTE: A larger team building/group version of this game is available as the "Cattle Skull Crossing" game.
Major Dan Dupont was with General Sherman in his march to the sea. The Major considered this one of the high points of his life – since he had official permission to loot and destroy whatever he wanted. The Major managed to confiscate several valuable articles during the march which he sent back North to his home with the evacuated wounded. Many men were willing to carry things to safety for him, if he made sure they got on the wagon train home. If, within a month, Major Dupont did not get word that the items had arrived safely, he declared the soldier a deserter and the man was then arrested and jailed, or shot, as the Major saw fit. Major Dupont moved to Cattle Skull four years after the war, and, using funds from the sale of “liberated” Southern items, started up a bank. He was careful to keep things honest and slowly grew in power and wealth. Now he is one of Cattle Skull’s leading citizens and most town folks ignore the rumblings from the little farmers and ranchers about unfair rates and terms for loans. Three weeks ago, the Major's stately manor on the hill overlooking town caught fire and burned to the ground. The Major's hound must have interrupted the criminal(s) as the dog's body was found shot in the front yard. On Wednesday Dupont's body was found at the mouth of an abandoned and worthless mine. He had been shot in the back. Which of the mean-minded, buzzard-breath, slimy snakes in this gathering killed poor old Dan Dupont? Strap on your guns and join in the search to find the killer of Major DuPont. If Major Dupont did find the fabled lost silver mine, “The Silver Slipper”, it may be up for grabs if no claim has been filed and the claim owner will be an instant millionaire!
