Description
October 1856, Buxton Inn in Granville, Ohio — the town’s bustling hub where farmers and bankers mingle, East meets West, and gossip travels fast. One year after becoming proprietress, Mrs. Abigail Morris celebrates with a weekend-long Spiritual Event, featuring a tarot reader, spirit mistress, and traveling haunted doll museum.
Mrs. Beverly McNamara, owner of the mercantile, insists on joining, eager to contact her recently deceased husband, Freddy. The grand séance is scheduled for tonight, but the festivities take a grim turn. That morning, Beverly is found dead in her room, stabbed twice in the heart by a small blade. Her body is taken away by the sheriff, but her spirit lingers.
Unsettling events ripple through the inn — unexplained knocks, doors slamming, a phantom touch. Spirit Mistress Emily Rose attempts to communicate and confirms the presence is indeed Beverly. She is furious and demands her killer be found, threatening to haunt the Buxton forever if denied justice.
The sheriff gathers a group of suspects and spiritualists — those who may have wanted Beverly dead, or who can speak with her restless ghost. Trapped together in the historic inn, they must uncover the truth before the night ends… or join Beverly among the spirits.
